Yes, but a menu doesn't need rendering, it is just created "manually" and it has to be mapped on the 
background mpeg.
Now, even when specifying the tv standard, my menus aren't mapped the right way in a particular 
case. In details, 4:3 menus show optimal mapping and they appear perfect in a 4:3 pal tv. On the 
other hand, 16:9 menus appear ugly, since the mpeg clip is stretched (when showed in a 4:3 tv two 
black borders are added) but the png image is not, resulting in labels placed far from expected. 
Please note, the png image is stretched right in horizontal direction, it is just un-stretched in 
vertical direction.
In other words, while the clip is stretched as a 16:9, the above png image is handled as a 4:3.
Perhaps is some setting missing?
