I have a "fresh" FC2 installation - I think it installed grip automatically. anyway, I downloaded the latest stable grip, and installed it using rpm. I got a dependency error (the same as many on this list have reported) concerning libcom_err.so.3. I overrode it with --nodeps. my mistake... grip will abosultely not start until I get that stupid library updated! must be a really important library! if any of you have been trhough this, you know that to get that one library, you pretty much have to get the complete Kerberos package, which I did. seemed to install ok - rpm says it's installed... however, libcom_err.so.3 is still nowhere on the system. my conclusion: rpm is retarded. my question: all this trouble to get grip up and running? any ideas? -- kameron cole <[email protected]>
