Greetings people, First, I've been using grip for years, this is a great piece of software :) recently grip 3.3.0 has been marked as stable (?!) on gentoo linux... this let me experience a bug I could not find anywhere in any archive, please forgive if it was already filled. i'm not sure wether it is because of grip or because of scim. descripton follows: i'm running gentoo linux, vanilla linux kernel 2.6.11.3, x.org server 6.8.2, gnome 2.8, SCIM "Smart Common Input Method" version 1.1.3 (http://www.scim-im.org/) the following lines are present in .xsession to set up this input method on startup: LANG=fr_FR LC_ALL= LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 KDE_LANG=fr_FR XMODIFIERS=@im=SCIM XIM_PROGRAM=scim export LANG LC_ALL LC_CTYPE KDE_LANG XMODIFIERS XIM_PROGRAM Keeping these settings, grip freezes at startup just after starting it. Disabling scim, everything is all right. For now I've seen no other application fail with this configuration. i mainly use GTK2 applications. do other people have the same problem? ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
