General comments

1. I'm new to grip.  Great software and kudos to Mike for developing it.  

2. I'm on Suse 9.2 with version 3.2.0.

3. Possible bug:  I have two cd drives: /dev/cdrecorder and /dev/cdrecorder11. 
If I go to Config->CD and change it from one to the other and then go back to
Tracks, the original CD tracks are viewed.  I haven't found a way to "refresh"
grip to use the new device unless I quit and restart.

Interestly, when I use --verbose, the console still shows "Drive status is 4"
and never changes to the new device even when I change the device.

4.  Feature request:  Although there is a "Rip Only" option, there's not an
"Encode only" option.  It would be nice if I could rip at one sitting and then
encode at another.  

Why?  Simply to play with different encoding algorithms and options w/o having
to rerip everytime you change the an encoding option.  Or with two cd drives, I
can just rip with both drives and do the encoding on another machine or later. 


Maybe I'm missing something and this can be done now.  I didn't see of a way to
open a file/dir - only a device.  

Of course, it's true I can always drop to the command line and use oggenc(1) or
whatever, but grip has such a nice gui.  Granted, I hate feature creep too, but
I'm just asking for a symmetrical option. :-)

5.  It would be nice if the command line options were documented instead of
just --help.

6.  $ grip --usage
Usage: grip [-?] [-?] [-?] [-?] [-?] [-?] [-?] [-?] [-?|--help] [--usage] ... 

The repeated '[-?]' looks like a bug but who knows how Suse built the binary so
it might not be a source problem.


Anyway, that's all for now.  I'll try 3.3.0.
