hello, coud anybody help me out ? this must be an easy one: cdparanoia works like a charm (see below) but for the life of it i can not get ANY other program on my box to even recognize audio cds. most straightforward i thought should be grip, since it also uses cdparanoia. but it gives me: No disc was detected in your drive ... dvds play just fine with vlcplayer, too ... what am i missing ??? i assume something with scsi emulation. but where to put what in the configuration menu ??? greetings ingo ingo@atlas:~$ cdparanoia -B -v cdparanoia III release 10pre0 (August 29, 2006) (C) 2006 Monty <monty-zeIfkxP3e/[email protected]> and Xiph.Org FreeBSD porting (c) 2003 Simon 'corecode' Schubert <[email protected]> Report bugs to paranoia-zeIfkxP3e/[email protected] http://www.xiph.org/paranoia/ Checking /dev/cdrom for cdrom...
