When I try to rip this old used CD I bought, grip starts like its going
to work,
then the CD ejects from the drive. I tried to do this in root as well,
but no luck.
The CD ejects from the DVD drive every time. It's not the CD disk. I
have an
older computer, also with grip 3.3.1 and grip 3.3.1 works fine with the
CD and rips it normally on the old computer. I suspect my DVD drive is
not nice. But I really have
no idea why grip won't work on my newer computer.
The following specs are for the computer with the grip problem:
Grip 3.3.1 ripper cdparanoia encoder oggenc
Ubuntu 7.10 kernel 2.6.22-14-generic Gnome 2.20.1
Intel Celeron 2.53 GHz Menory 440 MB Available disk space 3.2 GB
Drive: LG DVD RW HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H10A
firmware JL02 Connection ATA
Why does the drive eject the CD every time I try to Grip the CD ?
