Uh, "companies" aren't interviewed -- people are; *who* was being
asked to evaluate these? The CIO? CFO? The pointy-haired project
owner? The end users struggling with the result? The in-house staff
assuming responsibility for maintainence and enhancement?

I'd bet you'd get wildly disparate definitions of "success" and "failure"
from those different constituencies...  :-)
