I use Citrix NetScaler for MySQL load-balancing. They have built-in
MySQL monitor. I've configured in primary/backup config such that the
backup does not receive any connections unless the primary is DOWN.

Subject: [load balancing] mysql loadbalancer appliance

Hi Lads,

is there any appliance (preferably hardware) with native MySQL
loadbalancing on the market? For example a pair of boxes with failover
based on MySQL proxy?

It should speak MySQL to split 'read' and 'write' statements.

I need a drop-in solution rather than set up own stuff from scratch.

Thanks,

Miloska
