Very interesting. As I gather from the blog, you are using external stimuli
to control a brain response which in turn controls the robot. I had a
brief talk with a lecturer of mine about this, and we came up with a
variation that might work without occupying your visual sense. With your
method, one of the big drawbacks is that you can't watch the robot at the
same time as control it. Depending on how easily to detect it is, you could
try a variation where there is a repeated stimulation on both palms and
both feet (e.g. something vibrating or tapping them), and see if you can
detect a change in attention between these. Hopefully you could then, for
example, pair the attention shift to the left hand with turn left, right
hand with turn right, right foot with forward, and left foot with fire.
