Hi All,

My previous problem was that when scigraphica came up,
it didn't know where my gtk module was.

An ideal solution to this problem would involve being able to
initialize scigraphica with some kind of per-user startup file,
and no doubt that's possible somehow (i'm all ears if anybody
wants to clue me in).

But for the immediate problem of the annoying error message, that i
guess really is easy to solve: i just made softlinks to all the gtk
files into a directory listed in sys.path (and typing sys.path to the
embedded scigraphica python prompt lists all such directories).

And perhaps there's something along the same lines for getting
python to execute some startup code, but my python is pretty rusty
and my books aren't handy, so i don't know.

[I'm posting this just in case somebody else has this problem
and wonders about the solution, which turned out not to be so deep,
at least for this bandaid.]

PS: where are the formats documented?
