However, the > Makefiles that configure leaves behind when it is done all point to > gdk-x11 stuff, not gdk-fb stuff... Sounds like you may need to "install" your framebuffer-enabled version of Gtk, so that the proper package config file (with a .pc suffix) gets consulted during the GtkExtra configuration. This may involve setting PKG_CONFIG_PATH to explicitly point to it. Good Luck, -Mike P.S. Last year I toyed with the LinuxFB Gdk backend to explore ways of using GtkExtra for unattended/rootless plotting (e.g. to generate postscript plots in the absence of display hardware). Ultimately I chose not to go that route because I wanted a solution that would port to more platforms and be much, much easier for end users to employ. Instead I generalized the Debian xvfb-run utility, which supports running X clients directly against an Xvfb server. If this sounds like it might be of use to you, the modified script and supporting utilities are bundled with SLgtk in src/batch. ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by: Beat the post-holiday blues Get a FREE limited edition SourceForge.net t-shirt from ThinkGeek.
