FRIT Enterprise Architecture is actively recruiting for a Chief Security =
Architect.=0D
=0D
The Chief Security Architect identifies and champions the security standa=
rds and processes for the enterprise and develops strategies and technolo=
gies In support of enterprise security architectures.  In this role, he/s=
he must build strong relationships and partnerships with senior managemen=
t within National IT as well as with the lines of businesses and other se=
curity service providers by providing security expertise on complex techn=
ology issues and education on system security direction.  Serves as the l=
ead security architect responsible for the development of an enterprise-w=
ide Security architecture grounded in business requirements and technolog=
y strategies which include activities that involve extensive coordination=
 of technology studies and research.  This position requires an inspiring=
 leader who takes ownership, accountability and has a reputation of follo=
wing through to deliver results.  Excellent verbal, written and presentat=
ion skills are required as well as the ability to work collaboratively in=
 our federated environment. Works in conjunction with the Chief Architect=
 to develop and integrate security into an end-to-end enterprise architec=
ture.=0D

1.	 Develop the security strategy and vision to support the key business =
processes and requirements by determining the optimal enterprise security=
 architecture in terms of  effective investments in tools and technologie=
s designed to protect our information and assets in an ever-changing thre=
at landscape. =0D
2.	Define the enterprise security target architectures and strategic dire=
ction through understanding business drivers and demonstrating expert kno=
wledge and mastery in a broad spectrum of complex technologies.  Research=
 and identify best practice methods and emerging technologies, evaluating=
 their applicability and feasibility to our organization.=0D
3.	Partner with our customers and service providers in identifying critic=
al architectural and infrastructure gaps and deficiencies in the security=
 of the Information Technology environment and recommend solutions to sol=
ve business problems and security direction.  =0D
4.	Partner with our lines of business in road mapping efforts to ensure s=
trategic IT alignment to business requirements with a focus on security.=0D
5.	Oversee the evaluation and selection of hardware and software security=
 product standards and design of standard configurations.=0D
6.	Provide consultative leadership on System projects focusing on plannin=
g, development and implementation of strategic security technology direct=
ives.=0D
7.	Perform work with high level of autonomy; assume responsibility for hi=
ghly visible System projects and related actions that have a major impact=
 on operations, strategic direction, and reflect heavily on the reputatio=
n of National IT.=0D
8.	Provide senior management and governance councils regular communicatio=
ns on strategic security direction.=0D
9.	Participate as a voting member of the Design Review Board (DRB) to ens=
ure that current projects moving through the project life cycle are in al=
ignment with security strategic direction.=0D
10.	Provide leadership in the adoption of and migration to NIST-based sec=
urity architectures and standards.=0D

Requirements =0D

This position requires a broad range of security experience in current te=
chnologies, knowledge of enterprise scale security architectures and prov=
en  leadership.  Experience in the Federal Reserve System or other highly=
 federated environment is very desirable.  Understanding of FISMA complia=
nce requirements and the NIST Security program is required. The CISSP cer=
tification required and other security certifications desirable. Executiv=
e presence and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at the sen=
ior management and governance council level.=0D

Bachelor&#146;s degree or 7 - 10 yrs of equivalent work experience.=0D
Overnight travel may average 35 percent annually to attend meetings and c=
onferences.=0D
