How to tunnel/compress traffic from sources without proxy

Hi,

 

I have several HotSpot sites which are connected to the Internet via ISDN 128K.

I would like to improve performance by compressing all hotspots' guest traffic.

 

My hotspot is based on W2K machine, which has a WLAN interface to link wirelessly the guests' laptops and an ISDN modem to connect the hotspot to the Internet. All guests' traffic (mostly WEB/MAIL) is passing through the W2K gateway.

 

I would like to catch   (without proxy setting on the guests' laptops) all traffic from the incoming interface (WLAN in this case - can be also any regular NIC) and tunnel/compress it to the remote server, which will forward it to an Internet router.

The nature of public hotspot cannot allow me to direct traffic to specific ports on the Zebedee client (cannot also force guests to setup proxy) and neither to specify a target hosts/ports on the server side,  since each guest is free to surf any site and to choose any service on the net (MAIL, FTP...etc).

 

Can it be done with Zebedee?
