Hi,

When a visitor leave a comment on a post, there is no
mail sent to the author of the post. This feature works
previously in 0.9.1 (I test under 1.0-beta2).

Hi Garvin,

I ask my provider the logfile... I have the solution : the
smtp server is in one blacklist and naturly my mail provider
use this blacklist.. GGGGGGGGGGRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !!!!
And the add to the blacklist are made 2 days after my
upgrade.... coincidence/murphy law ;)

Hi!

As I mentioned, the 1.0 release had a few changes to make
sent mails more compatible with UTF8 environments. This
might have had an impact on your setup; but without logfiles
or clues as to why, we're not able to fix anything related
to it. :-)

So I hope your server admin will be able to give us details.

Thanks for your reply.

It's strange that the mail comment feature doesn't work
since my upgrade to 1.0-beta2. I'm going to ask my provider
if I can have the log of the mail server.

Hi!

The config is stored in the serendipity_config table.

Please ask your server's mail-admin for a logfile of your
outgoing emails on that server; you should fine more
information there. I am quite sure it is a mailserver issue,
not a serendipity problem itself, because the code has only
changed as far as mailheaders are concerned. It may be that
your server is thus rejecting mails - and this can only be
fixed by getting a hang of the logfile, since it works on
all SMTPs I have access to...

Hi,

The blogMail is configured (I mean the blogMail is
configured in Configuration/General configuration) and the
mail address is valid.

And Yes, I enable sending mail for the author profil (it's
also the administrator profil).

Where can I check for these parameters (table in database ? ).

Did you check if you properly configured the blogMail
directive in serendipity configuration? If that mail address
is not configured, your mail host/SMTP server might not
properly send a mail.

Also check if for your personal author profile you've
enabled sending mails?

It works here properly...
