Microsoft dropped support AND development of FRx last year.  It was
immediate and complete when they announced it. 

As a result, INFOR was forced to announce discontinuance.  However,
depending upon the release level you are at, you can get online support at
infor365.com.  Bug fixes were terminated by Microsoft as they were the
developer.

Understand that your maintenance agreement with INFOR is only good for
current release and 1 back level release.  Currently this is R7.7 and R7.8.

INFOR has released three different options to replace FRx.

INFOR Performance Management (PM) Business Edition
Included are Planning & Budgeting, Financial and Ad-hoc, Production
Reporting with a 25 user limit plus some other minor scope restrictions.

This is supplemented by INFOR PM Business Edition FR which provides read
only financial and ad-hoc reporting.

Finally there is INFOR PM 10. This is the full version which includes a
number of separate sub-applications that you pick and choose depending upon
need. (planning and budgeting, financial consolidation, forecasting,
strategic management, financial reporting, ad-hoc reporting and business
modeling.)  It is a large undertaking, but the potential returns are quite
substantial, assuming, naturally, that your underlying business processes
are working.

In addition, there are some 3rd part applications such as Global Software's
Spread Sheet Server.  Just understand that INFOR is offering substantial
incentives to existing customers to "keep them in the family".  So I'd
encourage you to check out the best deal you can get from INFOR (if your
affiliate is unhelpful, get to INFOR directly.)

Hello group,

I was wondering if anybody is using FR-x for their financial reports and
if you're able to obtain INFOR support on that product?

We are in the midst of renewing our license keys and our Account rep at
INFOR claims now that the support is dropped not just by Microsoft but
by Infor itself and they are talking about some kind of replacement
product...  

 We've always been able to get support from INFOR for our  FR-x issues
(at least until a month ago)  - and this is  something new for us! 

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated!
