Many thanks for that; as it applies to any Sidai-style site
team, I created a proto-package sidai:rsync.xml and put the
patch in there (then changed all the real
<team>/package/rsync*xml files to pick it up).

As you're busily fixing all the busted 'check' methods, I
hate to mention this :-) : you can force a method to be
marked 'done' by a 'touch' something like

touch $ARK_STATE_DIR/package/libxml2--2.4.13/check--sparc-solaris2.6.xml-FORCED

It's ugly, and bad for automation, but sometimes you have to
abandon all principles; not that I'm even slightly
encouraging that :-)
