ah, so that is the catch. Okay, well then the plan of attack for
hdup2 will be this:
* get 2.0.2 out the door asap, with Pax. Add the above comment to a
  README.
  I will also make a testsuite which will work from subversion, to
  finally get some serious/automated testing done on hdup
* work on 2.0.3 after that. Pax works great. If I give pax the right
  list, it will generate the correct tar file (unlike gnu tar).
* 2.0.x bugfixes and maybe look into star, so that people might
  actually choose (this is not a priority for me).
