First of all: Thank you very much for your help!

The 2 servers are connected on a local network (1000Mbps). The asterisk
server dials out with lcr/ISDN (http://isdn.eversberg.eu/howto.html)
.
There is a second hylafax-sever installed on the asterisk server (wheezy
binary install) that is working without any problems. That was the reason
why I thought I can rule out the asterisk server as source of the problem.
