I'm a relative nobody, but I'd like to see another release.  I think 
some significant features have made it in over the last year.

I'm not sure if this is a blocker, but it is at least an incomplete 
feature in the natbib support that might catch people.  I haven't had 
time to fully figure out the problem yet, but this is a testcase:

\documentclass[11pt]{article}
\usepackage{natbib}
\bibliographystyle{apalike}

\begin{document}
Certain citations,

\citep[e.g.][]{citekey1, citekey2, citekey3},

cause this output when run through latex2rtf:

(Author1, 1999, ; Author2, 2000, ; Author3, 2001, ) .

The correct output is:

(e.g. Author1, 1999; Author2, 2000; Author3, 2001).

\bibliography{bibfile}
\end{document}

Essentially, citation lists seem to be handled incorrectly when options 
are given to \cite.
