Re: Beginner question: How to build meta post only

I am completely out of my comfort zone here, having never used "configure" or "make" in my life, but I wonder if the lack of a MetaPost executable is the result of your invoking "configure" but not "make".  What do you think ?

Hello all,

I'd like to build only the standalone MetaPost software (with debug
info), how can I do this?

I created a  work directory and ran

../configure --disable-all-pkgs --enable-mp --without-x

but I cannot find the mpost executable.

Can you help?
