Hi Adam,

Have you looked at the mirrors listed at

https://tug.org/historic/

The master ftp://tug.org/historic/ rejects out of hand. I’ve tried two mirrors

ftp://ftp.math.utah.edu/pub/tex/historic/
ftp://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/tug/historic/

They don’t reject, but there’s a timeout after minutes trying to list the content. I get an error message about a server firewall which may be blocking passive mode connections, but I don’t know whether that’s relevant.

This said,

https://ftp.math.utah.edu/pub/tex/historic/
https://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/tug/historic/

work fine.
