Thank you Christian.

Just to be sure I understand it. What files in mitex/bin/x64 directory 
should I delete. I only see two files (mpm.exe and findexe.exe) afected
by the recent update. But if I delete them I don't know how to update 
because I think mpm.exe is used to do it.

The problem is not with mpm used from command line which worked for me 
but with MikTeX-Update from "windows" which doesn't find copystart.
