This reminds me: What do you thing about the possibility to add strings
from txi-en.txi to po/texinfo.pot (via awk or something)?  Then
translators will find the strings easily and at build or installation
time you can fetch back the translation from po/LL.po to txi-LL.tex.

Too complicate?
