prbl with stepwise with various figures

Hello 

The following worked nicely in prosper but using texpower and foils 
did not work out equally.

I have several pdf files which I want to overlay step by step with the
same slide heading.

So in prosper it was something like 
\overlays{15}{
\slideheading{Iteration}
\onlySlide*{1}{
     \begin{figure}[htbp]
\end{figure}
}
}

Etc

In foils and texpower
I tried
\stepwise{
\foildheader{Iteration}
\step{
 \begin{figure}[htbp]
\end{figure}
}}


But it did not work out, there were some empty slides produced,
sometimes just a slide with a heading, sometimes just the next figure,
but the nice dynamical effect did not occur.


I am aware of some of foils problem, so I put a
\addtolength\foilheadskip{-1\baselineskip}
in the document header, no success neither.

Can anybody help me
