Thanks for your reply. I am using pdflatex for producing the pdf 
file. I am using acroread-4.05-6  in my linux and tested the pdf 
file in windows acrobat reader 4 and 5. All the fonts except one 
is type 1 fonts.

The info reads like this.

I do not have much idea of the fonts and all. But I hope the mail
