thank you very much for your help. Better I do not explain what I was doing as it was really very messy compared with your example. In fact I was not using the color control of texpower and that was probably the problem. Now all runs very fine. I actually set as background 
\defineTPcolor[lightbg]{pagecolor}{rgb}{1., .945, .812}, as I find that this color might be better when you do not know if the presentation will take place in a light or dark room. But I could be wrong, as I have no experience with combinations of backgrounds and foregrounds colors. 

I will play with this and see what happens. Thanks again for your help. I hope we will see an updated version of the texpower manual in a near future in order to be able to use all the features texpower provides.
