(No)Transition question

Hi,

I have the following problem with any document
I generate with texpower:

With acroread in non-fullscreen mode
advancing through a sequence of \pause
works nice and reasonably fast on my PIII, 1.2G
(under linux).
However, going to full-screen mode
for every PageDown I get the small watch (as mouse pointer)
for a short period and it is much slower than
in non-full screen mode.

Now, if I change in the preferences
of acroread under the full-screen mode
the Default transition to "No Transition"
I get a similar speed as in the non-full screen mode.

My question is: is there a way to change
the transition to "No Transition" from within
texpower?
I have tried the following two
  \pagetransition{NoTransition}
  \hypersetup{pdfpagetransition=Replace /D 0}
but without success (actually, even worse,
then I was not able to use the above "trick" within acroread).

  ((Alternatively I tried xpdf (version 1.01) and
  in full screen it does quite a good (=fast) job.
  However, I think the fonts don't look as nice
  as with acroread.))

So I am lost here - any pointers/ideas appreciated,

P.S.: there is one more (minor) thing with the fullscreen
mode. Namely, if I do a
\hypersetup{pdfpagemode=FullScreen}
at the beginning of the text, and start the document
with acroread I get a borderless window but,
it is not centered on screen but has a both vertical
and horizontal offset. Doing CTRL-L twice
I get the "normal" full screen mode.
Does anyone else also see this behaviour
(I am using acroread 5.06 - though its About says 5.05 ...)
or did I screw up my system ?
