I do some work on Aap occasionally, especially to fix bugs and include patches from others (so long as the look like they are not a stability risk). Mostly it works just fine (I use it every day to upload files for Vim 7). Adding support for attributes on a published file should be possible. Aap would then do some kind of "chmod" on the file after uploading it. It's not always possible to fix the permissions locally before publishing. -- Eye have a spelling checker, it came with my PC; It plainly marks four my revue mistakes I cannot sea.
