That will probably be true for the vast majority of cases but, hypothetically, what if somebody *wants* to use an external tunnel client? Maybe even for something entirely different than SSH? Or what if we eventually remove the cvsgui-requirement and somebody *wants* to use a non-CVSNT client that does not support :ssh:? Anyway, those could probably still be told to manually set the environment var...
