If it's got to be one of those choices, I'd vote for d). However, you may even want to consider truncating both the server and the path. If doing so, I'd suggest to truncate both in the middle, e.g. :pserver:[email protected]:/cvsroot/an...fo/project Usually you'll end up with more identifiable information for such strings when truncating in the middle. OTOH, for the module path, maybe truncating at the beginning is actually a more sensible thing to do, but that basically depends on the organization of the cvs server, which is hard to predict... that's why a middle truncation usually is the better solution, since it caters both those setups where all repositories start with the same path and those situations where the repositories only differ at the beginning of the path... Another thing to consider: maybe the protocol is not all that interesting (i.e. could be truncated first), since once you know the server and repo, people will have a good guess to what the protocol would be (unless they use more than one protocol to contact the same repo)? my .02 </jum> [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
