Hi
Ok, ok, you sound like some of my colleagues :-)
what else do you want ? :-)
:-) No to be serious :
What I am thinking off,
is just the revision and the author
the revision date and the beginning of the
comment ... would look like

 ---------------------------
| 1.4 - cilginnis |
| 2004/07/26 Mon 16:05 |
| Finished design wi... |
 ---------------------------

the comment would be reduced to about 20 characters,
eventually followed by an ellipsis.
The whole feature perhaps as a display option ...

What are you talking about copying to the clipboard ?
I think I got a really old version here ;-)
When there's enough enthusiasm left I can look for it :-)

I think tooltips don't make sense because all you see is
there . and in my opinion the full comment should
not be displayed in a tooltip, don't you think ?

What I find more interesting and to achieve with
a little effort is the collapse thing ...
( When there's enough enthusiasm left I can look for it :-) )

But first of all - I want the author - comment and date :-)
Nothing more - nothing less ...
And I see your interested in ... ok ... so let's get detailed ...
do you want a checkbox in the options dialog for that feature?
The changes I want to made are only specific to
windows ... but I think/hope this isn't quite a problem ?

Ok, think that's enough for today ... :-)

Best regards
Claus

PS ... but a little idea
came up to me while writing this mail ... what about
the following ... (just a mind game and I mean really just a mind game).
Combining the collapsability with the comment display ...
would look like this :

---------------------------------
| 1.4 - cilginnis |_+_| <--- click this plus to display
| 2004/07/26 Mon 16:05 | + | <--- the branches and this for the
--------------------------------- comment
