I think Claus' original idea of putting *some* of the additional
information into the existing graph view (maybe as a user option) is
actually pretty good and does a good deal of what's currently missing
in graph view.
Having an alternative (not replacement) hierarchical multi-column tree
view of the file history (with separate columns representing the
various pieces of information) would be great as well, but I'd really
keep it as an alternative, since I think the timeline can be very
nicely viewed with today's graph view.
