Well, it looks like the Add dialog is being very inefficient about computing which files can be added at the currently selected node. It looks like it is scanning the whole working folder, so, it will take longer on slower machines with slower disks and a very large working folder structure. We are looking at all things Add Files related for 2.1, since we've gotten so many complaints about it. The worst thing about it is that almost all the complaints are completely valid, too.
