Is "Subversion Client Adapter" really required?

Hi!
I use Juno Java EE SR2 and just installed subclipse 1.8.20.
I installed the packages "Subclipse (Required) 1.8.20" and "Subversion JavaHL Native Library Adapter 1.7.9.1".
I did not install "Subversion Client Adapter (Required) 1.8.4".
Everything seems to work (SVN Repository browsing, checkout, reading history, etc)
The Installation instructions at http://subclipse.tigris.org/servlets/ProjectProcess?pageID=p4wYuA say:
...the following features must be installed:
Subclipse - this is the main feature that include the Subclipse core and UI plugins
Subversion Client Adapter - this is the Subversion API wrapper that Subclipse uses to talk to Subversion
...
Note, the install dialog lists "Subversion Client Adapter" as still not installed, also the About Eclipse → Installation Details → Installed Software does not list it as installed.
Should I install it? Or can I leave it as is?
