John, Before you run out and buy a new laptop or install a new operating system, may I humbly suggest you give the laptop to somebody who knows computers well and let him tweak it for ya. It could just be that the graphics card drivers aren't installed...who knows? Maybe there's too many of those "free trial" programs that seem to ship with every computer these days running and hogging the computer's memory.... Just a suggestion to keep you from having to learn a new OS or buy another machine. David Millet aka spiderworm
