Nice one Dave, Actually, I went back to the original idea, which
was to do some serious modelling for a couple of months in India.
Now, ---- My PC`s got about five fans inside it. Even the
graphics card`s got it`s own power supply and fan, ----- Do we
seiously think we`re gonna pack all that into something about as
big as a pack of cigarettes and it`s not gonna get hot? Nope! ;)
Laptops always cut out when they get warm, and India`s warm. That was
the point. So, the problem is not hardware, it`s strategy. I
could buy a modest PC over there, use it, train some other ppl to
use it, and leave it there. ....But this brings up the other
issue. I suppose sooner or later, if I want to be a real
modeller I,m gonna hafta get Linux! Est ce ne pas? I suppose
Blender would run pretty smooth on my fairly good machine.....
