Hi,

Lurker here.. Just wondering, has wxWidgets been
considered?

It just seems to be a rich widget set... that's all...
http://www.wxwidgets.org/

Just asking a question, not knowledgable enough or
know enough history to contribute. and not trying to
start a flame war. I've been playing with wxPython.
That's why I'm asking.

I know wxPython tool bars can be moved and docked in
the notebook widget. I understand wxPython is a
wrapper from wxWidgets. If you try out wxPython's
Demo&Docs sample, look at the demo:
AUI_DockingWindowMgr
You'll see what I'm talking about.

I'm probably way off base to suggest this, but
separate the GUI from the core function of the
application. Write the GUI in wxPython (fast turn
around) and make the the separate application extended
libraries that plug in? Python applications can be
precompiled and distributed as single binary
application. (py2exe for example)

Ken
