Computing of a response curve for two (or more) *identic* images with identic exposure times can not work, because the algorithm needs data of at least two different exposure times. That the plugin crashes here, is nevertheless a bug, caused by the curve displayer, where an "asser()" check was left for the case of a zero plot range. The curve you would have seen, was a horizontal zero line. I tried to fix it in the CVS repository, but my developer account seems to be removed (Robin?).
