Whenever I start cinepaint from an X terminal (my usual method) it
will report these errors:

lcms: Error #12288; File '/usr/share/color/icc/ISOcoated.icc' not found
cinepaint: Cannot open selected ICC default proof profile: /usr/share/color/icc/ISOcoated.icc

Are these the same errors that you are seeing? Maybe you can try
to start cinepaint from an X terminal and examine the start up
messages.

If so, the errors are innocuous. They are of no concern.

If you want to shut them off, you can edit the gimprc file
in the directory CINEPAINT_ROOT/share/cinepaint/0.25.0,
where CINEPAINT_ROOT is usually /usr or /usr/local.
Just comment out all the default profiles, or point them to
other profiles that you have installed.
