[CinePaint] cinepaint installed won't start

Hello everyone,

I've installed cinepaint-0.20-1 on Mandriva 2006.

I get the following when  I type: cinepaint
"error while loading shared libraries: libcinepaint.so.0: cannot open shared
object file: No such file or directory"

the executable file is in:  /usr/local/bin/

the .so files are in: /usr/local/lib

libcinepaint.so@
libcinepaint.so.0@
libcinepaint.so.0.0.20* 

are all present.

Do I need to make a soft link somewhere or amend a .config file????
