I am afraid the fix in CinePaint for empty strings is only in CVS. It will appear in the next release. To elaborate, Lcms has currently problems to read a unicode containing ICC tag called 'mluc'. Such tags are in ICC profiles of the newer standard version 4 included. To work around this avoid version 4 profiles.
