Yes, it works !!! Thank you very much, Jerome. Changing MAX_TEXTURE_LEVELS to 13 did the trick. Now GL_MAX_TEXTURE_SIZE shows 4096 although it has a hardware limit of 2560 as you said (didn't check it but I'm almost sure).
