The GIMP is build using GCC.Try search on Google. There might be some
tutorial on build your own GIMP with GCC.
There is also GIMPVS which is build using Visual Studio.Check out this

I can't see a source files from the page. You might want to contact
the developer if you want the source code for that (if they give one ;-) )
