The basic idea is to demonstrate what can be done with open source 
software, and yes, to show off some features of Aqsis. :-)  The recent 
demo reel for Blender has shown that rather fancy animation can be 
achieved.  I think between Blender and K-3D, quite a bit can be done.

What we need to start off with is a solid concept.  Whether a 7 minute 
Looney Toons type of thing or a Fantasia-esque abstract music video, or 
whatever.  One suggestion was to adapt a short piece of SF by Larry Niven.
