Web Applications Developer 

Assignments include developing software for various intranet based
projects to improve information sharing and process automation across
multiple databases. The successful candidate must be able to analyze
business needs and translate them to tools on schedule and within
budget. The Web Applications Developer will be in a unique problem
solving role, interfacing with multiple groups in Production and
Technology and must be able to communicate complex technical issues in
layman's terms.  

The Development Tools team is responsible for SCM, developer tools,
end-user Linux environment management, shared databases and web site
development and maintenance. The candidate will also contribute to these
areas while working as a member of this team. 

Qualifications:

*Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience,
Masters preferred
*3+ years development experience in advanced Web technologies and
database driven applications; LAMP or similar experience preferred
*3+ years of proven hands-on experience with relational databases
*Must be fluent in SQL 
*Demonstrable experience developing intranet sites using HTML,
JavaScript, JSP, PHP and CGI
*Demonstrable experience with Java, XML, SOAP and Ajax
*Linux application development experience required, Mac application
development experience a plus
*2+ years with scripting languages (Shell Script, Perl, Python)
*Experience with Apache, Tomcat, JBuilder and Eclipse preferred
*Understanding of SCM and Software Development Life Cycle preferred
*Experience with GUI development preferred
*Experience with asset management, help desk and knowledge base systems
such as Remedy preferred
*Experience with client side application development for handheld
devices a plus

Graphics S/W Engineers

We are currently looking for Graphics Software Engineers of all levels.

The Graphics Software Engineers are responsible for analyzing production
procedures and problems, evaluating the effectiveness of existing
systems, and making recommendations to improve output, efficiency, and
workflow.  They partner with production personnel to determine user
needs and review system capabilities to decide what changes can be made
within the existing systems and when new systems must be added. 

The Graphics Software Engineers will often work with developers and/or
end-users on multiple films.  Design responsibilities include the
creation of new C, C++, Mel, Perl or Python code or the modification of
existing code, whichever meets productions needs in the timeliest
manner.  Regression testing and analyzing of software, code
check-in/integration, and distribution are part of the SWE's
implementation responsibilities. Experience with commercial 3D packages
such as Maya (preferred), Houdini or Softimage and with the development
of 3D graphics applications is required.

Qualifications:
*MS or PhD preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
Electrical Engineering or other related field.
*Five years experience in development using C++ language and UNIX/Linux.
*Experience in he development of 3D Computer Graphics Tools and Maya
plug-ins a necessity.

Process Tools S/W Engineers

glitches, track them to the corrupted code, implement timely repairs,
and make recommendations for avoiding similar situations via
code/software/system changes.
*SWE's must be able to work independently with technical and
non-technical users to determine user needs, have strong documentation
techniques, and possess creativity in developing easy-to-use tools and
"quick fixes."

Qualifications:
*MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or
other related field.
*Five years experience in development using C++ language and UNIX/Linux.

Technical Support Engineer

The Technical Support Engineer will provide software, hardware and
systems support to our Artists and Developers in production of our
animated films. We're looking for intelligent, committed people with
strong knowledge of a Unix/Linux production environment, great
interpersonal skills and a love of the creative process. 

This is a demanding position supporting a highly technical user-base in
animation production. It requires creative problem solving abilities and
developed Unix/Linux knowledge. Candidates should be experienced with
commercial graphics applications such as Maya or Shake. The TSE will
also offer support to Mac and PC based applications, however, this
position is linux-centric. Candidates without strong Linux or Unix
skills will not be considered.

Duties:
*Quickly analyze find creative solutions for s/w, h/w and systems
problems involving WDFA Artists and Developers. 
*Production support via phones, email and live at desk-side. 
*Liaison between technology and production departments.
*Develop and document tools for team processes.

Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or
equivalent work experience. 
*Advanced understanding of computer concepts, strong UNIX/Linux
experience and intermediate Mac/PC skills required.
*Advanced understanding of Animation or VFX production and strong skills
in commercial graphics packages, including Maya, Shake, Photoshop
*Minimum 2 years Front End Support experience
*Excellent communication skills.
*Strong customer service ethic and natural problem solving abilities.
*Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a dynamic environment.

Image and Data Services Administrator

The responsibilities of the IDS Administrator include monitor
calibration for all color-critical work stations, archiving of data to
assist with disk space management, assisting with long-term and offsite
data storage, transferring data between internal and external clients
