As I remarked at a music technology trade show in London recently, where 
Apple had a large stand for Logic: not only are there more 'prosumers' 
than full-time artists, but they actually have money to spend than 
struggling musicians. Apple's slogan of 'Digital Lifestyle' sums it up 
for me - the profitability of the iPod has led the company rapidly 
downmarket.

I was an Apple user ten years ago, but I always felt like I was being 
mugged. I'm glad I didn't buy a G5 now they've 'end of lifed' the 
PowerPC platform too. Ironically, Apple users are supposed to be the 
most loyal. A case of 'treat 'em mean and keep 'em keen?' :-)
