Seeking Media/Film Schools and HD FIlm/Post in Vegas/L.A area?

Hey all!

I'm planning to go to NAB this year with my two colleagues from a
University in Sweden. We are evaluating what equipment (mainly cameras
but also Avid hardware and studio equipment) that will be our step from
SD to HD for our media en journalism educations. And NAB would be the
final decision maker after a six months HD evaluating bonanza.

So why not do some educational stuff while were over there in the US? I
want to get in touch with schools (since were a University its extra
credit to visit other schools) and other media related companies that
would like to show us around in the world of HD. Any suggestions is
welcome but my guess is that L.A is a transit point for us and some
flights from Sweden do go to Atlanta before going to Vegas so Atlanta
would be possible to. As said all suggestion all over US is welcome.
There is always domestic flights.

I also always wanted to attend one of the linuxmovies meetings but that
depends on where and when and my guess is a big part of you are
attending NAB aslo.

And if your at NAB give me a shout about things I should look at.
