Darn. I was hoping someone else would answer this.

I've been working on a glossary of terms:

It's not yet linked-in, but if anyone has any additions &/or corrections
please let me know. (to me, don't reply to the list)

I can't speak for catalog projects as I'm in the UK.

I believe Dienst was an older solution to the challenge addressed by OAI.

It sounds like you could use the eprints software to aid this workflow. You
could maybe _require_ a pdf version, but accept the other formats - ETD-ML,
latex etc. (Which should all be turn-into-pdf'ablle, excuse my grammer)

Why not play with demoprints.eprints.org to get a feel for the submission
and approval process.
