[EP-underground] Help getting started!

Hello,

Our college will be starting a digitizing project to put our theses up on
our web site. I was astonished to find so many projects already going on.
I'm a little confused about all the different projects going on. Can someone
get me started by explaining the relationship between: OAI, Eprints, NDLTD,
and theses.org.

If we convert our most recent paper thesis to pdf and install e-prints will
this cover us in terms of being compliant with the larger national union
catalog projects? Does eprints help in terms of work flow when our campus
goes to an ETD model only as laid out in the Scenario document online at
http://www.ndltd.org/workflow/etdlife.htm. Is there technical assistance
available from any of the organizations to help us get started? Is Dienst
related to eprints?

I think I've probable asked a mouthful here. Any help you can give me at
this point will be greatly appreciated.
