FastCGI Error

Hello,

I hope I'm writing to the right place. I'm attempting to use RubyonRails with on:
-- FreeBSD 4.11
-- Apache 1.3
-- mod_fastcgi

I have a symlink from /home/shane/railproj to /path/to/webdir

The errors below suggest some thing about a socket, but I cannot find the
 "FastCgiIpcDir" and the permissions seem to be fine on the /tmp directory

Here's the apache error log:

directory: FastCGI: failed to connect to (dynamic) server
"/usr/local/www/data/todo/dispatch.fcgi": something is seriously wrong, any
chance the socket/named_pipe directory was removed?, see the FastCgiIpcDir
directive
[Fri Aug 19 12:01:29 2005] [error] [client 68.144.109.254] FastCGI: incomplete
headers (0 bytes) received from server "/usr/local/www/data/todo/dispatch.fcgi"

Any suggestions?
